I started reading food reviews when I went on my first backpacking trip through Europe in 2006. Having always been a person that lived to eat, I was always in search of the best restaurants wherever I’d go. Being born in Montreal gave me the opportunity to experience incredible gourmet cuisine in what is largely considered the food capital of Canada. But back then I was in a different continent, and didn’t know much about European restaurants besides the Fat Duck, because pretty much everyone has heard of it. I started reading reviews in books like Let’s Go, and Lonely Planet and I eventually got my first Zagat guide and found them pretty useful most of the time. Then I familiarized myself with online sites like Chowhound, and Yelp, and what interested me the most about them was that I was able to hear from people who were traveling like myself, mixed with locals, who were now able to share their experiences, and I would use them to help me decide where to go, and what to order. I decided to start my own site to help both travelers and locals with sharing what I’ve found through my travels, and in my own city. As well, a lot of friends, colleagues, and family would ask me for restaurant recommendations, because I always knew where to eat and so I soon realized that it was time to start my own site. I am happy to share my experiences with you, and hope that you find new and exciting places to try from reading my site.

Love your reviews! I just wish you would review more often. Ive always wanted to go to Perry St! I’m going to save up for the next time I’m in NYC.
Thank you for your kind words, it’s really appreciated. Taking your advice, I will try to post more often. As for Perry St, you will have a beautiful time there, it’s really worth it and I look forward to hearing about your meal there. Thanks again!!!!!
Love your reviews as well, I started my own montreal restaurant review blog recently, although I’m still an amateur, I find it quite fun.
Is there a way to follow your blog and receive email updates?
